Area Artists Series – 2010

Back by popular demand!

The Wilton Public & Gregg Free Library is pleased to offer the library rotunda to area artists to show their work.  The displays change monthly.  We are pleased to offer display space each month except November and December.

The rotunda area has high ceilings, exquisite surroundings, and ample shelf space for an artist’s display.  Stop in and view the space available.  If you wish to offer your work for display, contact the library for more information.

Examples of previous displays include:  pottery, photography, folk art collections, hooked rugs,  watercolors, oils, and counted cross stitch,

History of Wilton

Fred Wilkinson was a New Hampshire native who graduated from Wilton High School and Keene Teachers College (now Keene State College). In 1956, as a thesis for his Master’s degree in Education, he wrote a history of Wilton, "designed to be used as a text for the study of local history in the Wilton Fourth Grade". This History of Wilton is much easier reading than the formal history of the town and also provides accounts of "contemporary" Wilton.
