Contact: | , | |
Description: | Talking About Race: Staying Curious, Moving Forward, and Being Part of the Solution The focus will be on the experiences of two local Black residents: Luis Rosa and Doug Sutherand, who have generously offered to share what it means to be Black in the U.S. today. It will be facilitated by Allen Davis, an educator and social justice advocate. Doug and Luis's experiences will be the starting point for an open and thoughtful conversation on race and racism and how as a community we can learn to appreciate and understand experiences and perspectives different from our own. Participants will learn how to move forward individually and as a community to be more inclusive and compassionate. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROGRAM. Please contact us at wiltonlibrarynh@gmail.com if you would like to register. |
