Wilton Public and Gregg Free Library Event Calendar
|Time:||7:00 PM -|
|Description:||"Wikipedia defines deaf culture as 'the set of social beliefs, behaviors, art, literary traditions, history, values and shared institutions of communities that are influenced by deafness and use sign languages as the main means of communication'.
We'll discuss some of the issues deaf people face every day living in a hearing world and how deaf people view their deafness as well as what options are available to the deaf regarding communication. We'll watch a couple short videos, play a game or two and learn a few conversational signs."
