Your Hike-You Could Win Earth!

April was poetry month, where we began a “hike-you”, a hiking challenge to learn about haiku poetry and even write some of your own!  In May, you can hike, create some haiku, and share your experience with us at the library. Each person that completes the challenge gets an ecologically friendly button and a chance to win a cuddly planet Earth, currently on Ms. Boo's desk!  To join in the fun, stop by the library for a packet, then follow the instructions for a “haiku hike for you”.  You get to pick your own hike, outside, for at least one hour.  Each “Hike-You” sheet you fill out could be featured in our August Story Walk Display for Old Home Days.  We might even publish some of your poetry on our website or Facebook page!  You can turn in a total of 4 sheets, so lace up your boots, get outside, and let nature inspire and entertain you!
