Whoo-Hoo!! Just got the okay from my medical advisors for a short, easy hike at the
end of this month!
I know we visited Pratt Pond early last spring, but it will look different at this time of year.
Late fall foliage, maybe some geese flying south, turtles taking advantage of the sun
before they go into hibernation, or even a bit of ice on the water. All to enjoy in the
company of some fine people. Please let me (603-654-5542) or the Library (603-654-
2581) know if you plan to attend.
Directions: From the Library, take Island St. to Rte. 101. Turn right, then immediately left
onto Abbot Hill Rd. Stay on Abbot Hill Rd. past Hilltop Café, being sure to turn right
where Abbot Hill meets Mitchell Hill Rd. Continue on Abbot Hill Rd. to Starch Mill Rd.
Turn left onto Starch Mill Rd, then right onto Pratt Pond Rd. Parking is on the right near
the Pond. Meet at the parking area/ trailhead at 9:30 a.m.
Dress for the weather and always carry water.
