Story Circle - every Thursday at 10am
www.facebook.com/wiltonlibrarynh
If the sun is shining and the weather is warm, join Ms. Boo outside to share stories, songs and crafts for toddlers and pre-school children. If the weather is not cooperating, we'll be reading, singing, and crafting in the children's room. Everyone is welcome.
During Story Circle, we feature books from our general collection and special picture books from the Sam Clark collection. The Sam Clark Storybook Collection is located upstairs in the Adult Fiction Reading Room near the fireplace.
Reading a translation of the Middle Eastern folk tale compilation Arabian Nights inspired Sam Clark to gather 1,001 picture books with "5 star text and illustrations". Just as Scheherazade narrated 1,001 tales, Mr. Clark wanted to bring wonderful stories to his children and collected some of his favorites in beautifully illustrated picture books. The Clark family's generous donation of these gorgeous books to the Wilton Public And Gregg Free Library deserves a place of special significance. The collection is now located in the area that was historically the Children’s room at the library, a perfect place for quiet contemplation and the gentle sharing of stories. Children and adults can appreciate the collection in a comfortable chair near the fireplace, or check out the books to read at home. The Sam Clark collection is a unique gift for our patrons that can only be found at the Wilton Public And Gregg Free Library.
